- Once
while returning from Wadi, in his householder days, a celestial lady
appeared before Shri Maharaj and said, “Please do not proceed
without first christening me”. Recognising her as the River flowing
by Mangaon, Shri Maharaj named her Nirmala at which she
disappeared. The name has now been widely accepted.
